The National Gifted and Talented Student Advocacy Board

National Gifted and Talented Student Board
Giving GT Students Representation
Are you a passionate advanced student looking to make a change in the education system? The NGTSAB may be right for you! We are Carter FitzGerald, Caleb Olson, and Abby Riead, three students from Colorado who have a mission: to make the world of education for high-potential students a better place for all. While countless organizations represent the interests of these students, they are mostly run by adults who may not include or consider students' opinions in their decisions. Capable high.school students should be able to have representation for themselves when important decisions are made regarding them. By creating a National GT Student Board, we will speak for students' opinions nationwide to ensure that the changes made will truly be in the best interest of our community.
Current Objectives:
- Write a new Automatic Enrollment Bill for the state of Colorado
- Provide a Student Handbook for individuals starting their own advanced student boards
- Create a Platform for Student Leadership and Community
- Connect Students and Educators across the nation
- Unite Student and Teacher perspectives on what it means to be High Potential
- Start the conversation on how to incorporate students into Education decisions
