About the Survey

The “Do Our Worlds Align” survey is a survey of middle and high school students and their teachers. Created by students of the NGTSAB, this survey compares student and teacher responses to ask the question: how well do our worlds align? 

This survey is an ongoing project. We hope to bring our results beyond Colorado, and invite schools from across the country to participate. If you belong to a middle or high school and are interested in bringing the “Do Our Worlds Align” survey to your own school, please read the following, then fill out the request form at the bottom of the page. 

(1) There are two separate forms, one for students, and one for staff. The student form should be sent to Gifted students only. The staff form, however, should be sent to all staff at your school, including teachers, counselors, and administrators. 

(2) All results are anonymous, students and staff will be asked non-identifying background information, such as grade, years teaching, etc. There are option questions at the end where students and staff can submit their contact information if they are interested in receiving the results of the survey, at your request these may be removed. 

(3) Our next round of data collection ends February 10th, 2026, so please fill out the form as soon as possible so we can reach back out to you.

If you would like access to the results from your school, please indicate on the form. Because of the anonymous nature of the survey, these decisions cannot be reversed. 

We also offer an individualized school report for those interested. This is a document prepared by our group comparing your school’s results to the general population. In order to be eligible for the individualized school report, there is a minimum response requirement of 35 teachers and 75 students. This minimum must be reached by the deadline of February 10th, however, it may be a few weeks for the data to be processed.
